The proponents for US remaining in Iraq "until victory is achieved" cite that it is necessary to win in Iraq in order to save the world. But what they fail to espouse is a plan for how to win. Furthermore they fail to see the consequence of a US defeat after two more years of US occupancy of Iraq.

If the Bushies are smart, they need to start working towards making Iraq a problem for the world and the Arab nations to solve. They need to start working on a plan with the International community on the rebuilding of Iraq with the authority vested in a world body. If Bush thinks that the other nations would be willing to work under a US command, then that will never happen.

But Bush wants to have the cake and eat it too. He is doomed in Iraq if he continues his Iraq policy
