I guess we are mostly all agreed that the USD will become as valueless as autumn leaves. This does not necessarily drag down all other currencies. If, for example, Canada does not indulge in Reagan,George Bush type undertaxing and deficit spending, why should the Canadian dollar become valueless in terms of gold? I say if, because an undertaxing-the-rich scoundrel is now prime minister of Canada. Canada has four political parties so it's hard to get a majority and he doesn't have one. But he may get his way about the undertaxing. To the dumb part of the electorate printing lots of money(bonds) is not objectionable.
