I see no downside other than it would make a dishonest reprobate out of you. (If you already are one, then this presents no problem.)

And.... since you have publicly stated that your objective, from the onset, is to commit fraud, you could go to prison.

And.... since we all know where the money will be hidden, I doubt it will still be there after you get sprung from the pen.
