"My gut tells me that AMD is more likely to see north of 40 than south of 30, but I want to know what your guts are telling you."

AMD is currently priced for an EPS of somewhere around $1. It will likely make at least half that for Q1 and the same or more in Q2. So the question on the table is "what happens when Conroe hits the market?". If you think that Intel will grab back all of AMD's recent gains in a quarter or two, then the current price is justified. If you think that AMD will stop gaining share and possibly lose a little, then it is under priced. If you believe that Conroe and family may reduce the market share erosion of Intel, but won't stop it until well into next year when AMD will have K8L and 65nm, then it is really under priced...

Given that I think Conroe won't be as impressive once something other than Intel's hand selected benchmarks are run, I stand behind door number 3. OTOH, you probably would prefer to sleep indoors.
