Some Follow up:

I would not follow this ethanol deal if my life depended on it. It didn’t work out 25 years ago and it won’t now. I don’t like the oil sand project in Canada. The pain will come to a lot of investors.

1.The weather is too erratic now to give up food stock or good acreage and using crops for fuel.
2.We are discussing, and it is going to the courts, a nationwide water rights debate.
3. We need the hydroelectric power immensely and probably should consider more damns. I hate to say that because I love my free rivers. But the national economy is very important.
4.Industry needs power worse then California needs to grow Asparagus??????
5.Soybeans are our No. 1 export to China. (I read that somewhere recently).
6. To put it simply the growth of the world population is because of one thing and that is advances in agriculture that would have not come about without advanced hydro engineering worldwide.
7.You give up your family Mr. Wong because Mr. Anderson does not intend to give up his and to hell with you if you are a black African or anyone else that is poor on this earth.
8.Food for fuel is bullshit and is about as unreligious as you can get. I am not very happy with the President proposing such as easy thing to say.
9.It takes a lot of water to make electricity (power) any way you do it.

In summary the history of mankind is food and water. We have to look at water, food, and energy to supply these, as we all know.

I could have done more work to back this thesis but it is so primary and simple it is laughable.
