No, there have been consistently two distinguishing features said of K8L, twice FP capability and L3 cache. It would really be called K8 otherwise, there was not a name change between 130 and 90nm for K8 for example. The petaflop computer which consists of AMD quads also relies on 4 DP Flops/cycle per cpu to make the numbers which is double what it is now.
