Tim, in a civilized society you shouldn't have to carry a gun. There are uncivilized people in society, and the police can't be everywhere. You apparently accept armed response to attacks. You at least ok with the police responding in that way. Do you plan to increase the size of police forces by 10 to 100 fold? Probably not. Well that other people have to take care of the job. In fact, if we had it your way, we would turn into a mini Iraq. Nonsense. Crime has gone down after states have passed must issue concealed carry permit laws.
