Do you have an olympic size pool to swim?

Yes, I do. It's a great pool. Big and bright with lots of skylights. Especially nice swimming backstroke when it's snowing.

A friend used to swim 2 miles over his lunch period

I only swim one or two days a week. Too hard on the hair. The rest of the week I jog, for the most part. That's why lane 3--it's the right depth for jogging the length of the lane. I try to do at least two hours a day. I couldn't jog two minutes without the cushioning of the water. I have no idea how many miles it comes to. I measure by hours, not laps. I tried counting laps a couple of times but I kept getting lost so I just quit. It wouldn't be a meaningful number, anyway. I have an exercise tape that's geared to 160 beats a minute so I just tune into it and go on autopilot. It's almost like a trance. Still gets boring sometimes, though.

I feel guilty today. So guilty I had a steak for dinner. Zero charring. <g>

I'll keep better track of time tomorrow...
