Hawk, re: (Me)..The posts of the Hawkmoons usually warn that in the face of something they claim is an "end-of-civilization threat" we have to do something, even if it's wrong.
(You)...Now there you go again.. twisting the facts, and twisting what I'm saying.
I've never said that the Islamo-Fascists represent an "end of civilization threat".
But I have stated that what we have here is a threat that potentially rivals the rise of Nazism, or at least communism, both of which cost the lives of millions of innocent people before they were snuffed out as a viable ideology.
I don't understand. If you're trying to disagree that your position posits the Islamic radical threat as an "end of civilization threat," why would you then immediately equate it to the threat previously posed by Nazism or Communism?
Or maybe you're saying that communism, nazism or radical Islam, ultimately, encompass civilized behavior?
Who knows?
But of course, although you can go on and on about how bad radical Islam is and that we have the "power to pre-empt it," you never seem to want to deal with the fact that the "pre-empt" thing is going really, really badly. And you certainly don't talk very clearly about how we can change that downward spiral.
Here's a hint...there are many instances in life where we face danger and where the best course is to do absolutely nothing. Of course that takes wisdom, courage and a long view. Panic is no friend of survival. Ed |
