I don't understand. If you're trying to disagree that your position posits the Islamic radical threat as an "end of civilization threat," why would you then immediately equate it to the threat previously posed by Nazism or Communism?
Uh.. let's see... did either of those ideologies result in the end of civilization?
Even had Nazi Germany won the war in Europe prior to the US entry, it would have resulted in a cold war between the US and Germany, rather than Russia.
But once the US became involved, it was a foregone conclusion that both the Germans and Japanese would lose.. It was only a matter of how long, and how much blood had to be spilled.
So why can you can't see the obvious parallels between the Islamo-Fascist ideology and those of Nazism and Communism, all of which were aggressive, anti-democratic visions of oppression, imperialism, and human domination (slavery?), is beyond me...
You know what I'm saying is correct.. But now it more about not wanting to have to admit that you're wrong and I'm right, than it is about supporting what is necessary to avoid having hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of Americans lose their lives 5-10 years from now.
And that's probably the same reason that no one was willing to challenge Hitler.. They were too involved in their petty personalities conflicts with other intellectual rivals, than they were in reading the handwriting on the wall..
But hey... continue to ignore the rantings of Ahmadinejad and the other Islamo-Fascists, just as your predecessors ignored the rantings of Hitler when he laid it all out in Mein Kampf.
