Iomega's Jaz2 should soon be making its debut.
Distributors now have the following info:

Single Cartridges Iomega Part #10599/10600 Est. Retail $169.95
Three-Packs Iomega Part #10597/10598 Est. Retail $449.95
Jaz2 Internal Iomega Part #10479 Retail $549.95
Jaz2 External Iomega Part #10508 Retail $649.95

The word is that the new drive will not only be backwards compatible
with older Jaz cartridges, but will also be 30% faster than the
current version.
