I can't believe Couric is the anchor. What a twit. I have friends who went to UVA with her. They say she was a huge twit then, and she hasn't changed much since. I can't think of anyone whose entire presentation suggests a lack of seriousness and intelligence. CBS is dumbing down the news even more. What a mistake. I think she'll last six months. Even the dumbest of dumbed down viewers is going to be repelled by her lack of seriousness. She will be toast if anything of any consequence occurs that will require her to not giggle. Incomprehensible, given the fact that others were available who could have done much better. Oh, well.
