If you think anyone should let you off the hook for your "gymnastics" any more than they will me, you are dreaming. You make false claims as to what I've said, as to what is known and unknown, and as to what you yourself have and haven't said. Here you NOW claim your "lead-in" sentence describes my thoughts, not your own (despite the fact that you wrote it, not me, and you had indicated nothing of the kind in the first place). Gymnastics indeed! Who CARES about the lead-in which I accurately represented in parenthesis anyway, when in fact the follow up sentence contained the totally unknowable and therefore bogus claim that Saddam didn't help Osama.

No, this got started because you falsely stated that Saddam didn't help Osama, when in fact no one can say that. It got worse because you falsely charged me with saying Saddam DID help Osama, when I simply had not said any such thing. It was made still worse by the fact that you denied your own assertion, though you repeated it too.

Gymnastics indeed.

Saddam approved a meeting with Osama. THIS is significant indeed, and buttresses long held opinions that these two would indeed collaborate. We don't know if Saddam and/or elements in Iraq helped Osama with attacks or not. I wrote consistently with this reality, despite your repeated false charges as to my words.

That's it in a nutshell.

So continue pretending you did no wrong.
