well that is obvious...the super rich have no need to insure...

they 'self insure'

meaning they write the check when calamity strikes..

but, for example...

suppose YOU come down with a terminal illness....and up until such diagnosis, you were 'uninsured' (assuming you could 'self insure')

but within weeks your cash reserve is depleted?

who pays for your medical treatment?

i submit it is *I*

who paid continuously rising rates apart from my 'utilization'

that ends up ultimately paying for your care...

now you tell me...

were you really 'self insured'? or did you just palm off your insurance costs to those who were willing to pay? (until the cost/benefit became obviously skewed in favor of 'don't pay')
