I agree with what you say above, but, personally, I don't believe that there WILL BE a 'Bush wing of the Republican party' after Bush II moves on.
There will be social conservatives, still a few fiscal conservatives, national defense Republicans (ie, 'pro-interventionist') and nativist Republicans (anti-foreign entanglements, anti-UN, anti-immigration, etc.).
But, no 'Bush II Republicans' (just like you can't find any 'Bush I Republicans' any more!) |
