This is why I firmly believed the US was justified in bringing down Iraq (as I've oft stated in previous posts). We had the moral and legal authority of UNSC 1441, obtained via multi-lateral discussion and authority via the UNSC.

We differ there.

Differ all you want, but no one has hung GWBjr up in front of an International Tribune for being a war criminal.

And the UNSC didn't pass a binding resolution demanding that the US leave Iraq immediately, as they did when they demanded that Iraq leave Kuwait in 1991.

So differ Neo.. you're not alone in this mistaken belief that the war, somehow, was criminal and/or illegitimate.

Because if you believe this war was illegitimate, then you have to assert that kicking Iraq out of Kuwait and invading Iraq (advancing within 100 miles of Baghdad) was illegitimate.

But few credibly questioned the legitimacy of that war, so it's unfathomable to question this one, especially in light of a unanimous vote declaring Iraq in material breach of a cease fire.
