Black churches urged to push McKinney out of Congress

WASHINGTON A black Christian conservative says Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney's scuffle with Capitol Police proves that she doesn't belong in Congress.

Star Parker, who heads the Coalition for Urban Renewal and Education, says it's time for McKinney to go, and she hopes "the black church community comes and asks for her to leave."

McKinney is accused of failing to wear her I-D pin into a congressional office building, refusing to stop at an officer's request, and then hitting him when he tried to restrain her.

The Georgia Democrat has accused Capitol Police of racism.

But Parker says it's McKinney who's acting like "an absolute arrogant racist," and setting what Parker considers a terrible example for young blacks.
