thanks for the post, but i'm wondering if you have anything allocated at all to any traditional sort of investments of any kind that we could track, to see your track record ? you've mentioned oranges, too cold to grow 'em where i am, even if i wanted to... maybe the argument is what happens at the end of the ninth inning ? the general, as you refer to him, hasn't hurt himself any owning gold up to now, has he ? and you say: <<<I hear them say post after post things are going to get so bad baby boomers aren't even going to be able to afford vacations or retirements - they will have to work until they are 100 and will stop buying lipitor so they can buy golden pandas! if things get that bad, they may not be focussing on waddling down to the coin shop, nevertheless, may i inquire of you : do you or do you not think things will get "so bad" ? :) maybe the thread leader should make mention that we've kinda strayed from the credit and bond bubble theme and maybe we need a different thread to discuss whether G of Baltimore should or should not be doing her own housecleaning !
