Parallels Workstation for Intel Macs virtual machine technology is being overshadowed by the Apple Boot Camp announcement, but has more immediate significance for cross-over users. Meanwhile, Boot Camp is really great for Windows XP only users!

For those who don't know what this is, it's similar to Microsoft's (Connectix) Virtual PC (though only emulation for now)(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx), but at the hardware level (http://www.intel.com/technology/computing/vptech/) that allows much faster performance. Expect Microsoft to incorporate this into the next Virtual PC version.

Practically speaking, what many people expect is integration between the two OS running simultaneously, and emulation/virtualization is the only way to achieve this. Dual boot is really for switching machines and only using one at a time.

Cross-over users are quite varied in their needs and the options just keep getting better and better.
