Just to set the record straight, it is UNIX that has been flattening and NT sales have been steadiliy increasing.

I do agree with you that NT does not scale as well as UNIX or Novell, and those definietely have an advantage in large enterprise networks. However most of the NT growth has been in the smaller setups.

I would like to pose the question of what is the advantage of Rhapsody at the server level vs any other UNIX server which has been in service for a longer period of time (ie DEC)? Other companies have had much more experience building large multiprocessor UNIX boxes whereas Apple has still not designed such a system. In my opinion, it will be a hard sell to replace these systems on the high end, and even harder to replace NT on the low end. MSFT is improving NT at a pace faster than the UNIX manufactures have (over the past 3-5 yrs), to the point that if the trend continues, NT may eventually be competitive in the high end as well making life harder for UNIX.
