Rich gain most from last tax cut, study says


Since they pay the lion's share of the taxes they benefit more in terms of total dollars from almost every major tax cut. And they get hurt more from almost every tax increase.

That would be true if the tax rates oscillated around at a much higher level. It has nothing to do with the the fairness of current tax rates and little to do with the fairness or appropriateness of the most recent tax cuts.
