You might as well say "do we want to get as crowded as an anthill. Neither is going to happen.

Tigers, lions, elephants - to name just three.

I don't see a lot of those in the US, and its not because we recently drove them to extinction here. There where mammoths and sabertooths and such, and perhaps primitive people drove them to extinction or at least contributed to it, but the population density at the time was very low.
