hey mr. greenjeans,

i just came from a new sustainability group here in the valley. 40 people basically scared shitless. and they are treating it like an action committee to go out and explore what is already explored.

i gave them my email address and donated $20 and a bag of home grown apples. about twenty pounds. everyone else brought cookies from dolly madison. that really helped ease the carbon footprint........

they did have some nice cars tho. couple of gazillionaires in the group. couple of local ranchers that come from bigggggg eastern money. they mostly sat there with these smiles on that made me wonder what they were thinking.

then there were the token granolas that talked about visions of the utopian world we will all miraculously be overtaken with soon. i looked at the guy sitting on the end of the row and he looked at me and said, "i wish i could be optimistic" and everyone between he and i said immediately, "so do i".
that told the whole story.

i suggested everyone plant a BIG garden this year. one couple said they did not need to because they lived less than a mile from the grocery store.

ended with the usual coffee groups, each trying to network for their businesses.

think i need a bigger gate and lock.

bill

ps: willetts was discussed more than anything else. one guy said he was gonna try and hire a willetts heavy to help facilitate them. bet he's got money.....

the guy where the meeting was held was selling eggs for $6 a dozen. damn.... i gotta get some chickens. i buy eggs down the road for $2

:>)
