I do think sometimes the media is to reluctant to use the word terrorist when it is appropriate.

I also think that some elements of the insurgency are more terrorists than anything else, and other elements at least use terrorism. But when you refer to "the insurgency" you refer to all of it, and I think that there are some parts of that group where applying the word "terrorist" is questionable.

The news article reported that a teacher was beheaded in his classroom. This was a terrorist act committed by terrorists. Yet, WAPO could not bring themselves to call these animals terrorists.


I think "terrorist" would be appropriate for those people.
