Don, but - we have certainly had rising markets in the past when treasury rates were considerably higher than they are now. stockcharts.com

the lower trace is the 10 year treasury

PS: and the treasury falling from 2000 to 2003 was accompanied by a bear market. So, suggesting that rising treasury rates have an adverse effect on the market all by themselves is not supported by historic data.
