It would be sad to learn that the Russian Federation's intelligence service was better informed as to Iraq's terrorist capabilities than were their American counterparts.

This shouldn't be any surprise to Americans, but it will be.

After Frank Church declared war on the CIA in the late 1970's, aided and abetted by the Carter Administration , followed up by Director of the CIA 1977-1981,) Stansfield Turner, who very prominently announced he was going to dismantle our CIA ground assets and we were not going to deal with "unsavory types" ....

Unfortunately, they were all too successful.

CIA and other intel agents don't grow on trees, but rather, take years and years to become established in an area.
