The proposed Senate bill was just stupid. Not much thought given to it. I'm glad it failed. Hopefully, both Democrats and Republican Senators and House members will get the message while they are in their home districts. We each need to call those offices and tell them our thoughts on this matter. The borders must be strengthened FIRST. A little picket fence won't do it. Drone planes carrying caseloads of red pepper and dropping same might give some of the illegals pause... We DO NEED to have tamper-proof certificates for people to come into this country to work. No certificate...No work. Employers need to be heavily fined for hiring illegals ...BUT first we have to have the certificates....Employers can't be the Federal Policemen.... And when we have done that, we need the illegals to either register, or be deported. Back of the list if they want to become citizens, with all the requirements we currently have for people who want to come into this country. We cannot reward people who have come into this country ILLEGALLY to all of a sudden be rewarded into going to the head of the line to become citizens. I still question why we would allow so many uneducated people to come to this country versus others who have more desireable skills. Perhaps the current ILLEGALS who are here, could learn English, pay their fines for coming in ILLEGALLY, and go to classes and learn some skills that won't put them on welfare for the rest of their lives. I'm still furious at Clinton/Gore for letting in over 2,000,000+ ADDITIONAL people for at least 2 of their 8 years.....See David Shippers (wrote Sellout) remarks on that as well.
