There was a real disconnect here. The individual who designed this injection schedule needed to talk to a few bench grunts.

I think that was the point my friend was making - that the disconnect came about because their was too much faith in system "all the boxes are ticked, so let's go." Best not to forget fundamentals - and bench grunts are close to the fundamentals.
