Rev 14:14 is the parallel verse to Matt 24:30 and it says "And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting ON the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand." This is when Jesus returns to gather His elect, separate the sheep from the goats, that has not happened yet. And immediately after the earth is reaped of the elect the wrath on God is poured out on who's left.
