Dow Jones reported that Century Mining is considered to be a leading potential purchaser for Troilus as it already owns the Sigma-Lamaque mine in the Val d'Or area.
Century has forecast production of 90,000 oz of gold from its Sigma mine this year at a cash cost of US$325/oz, out of an identified 4.4 million oz gold resource at the Sigma Lamaque area.
Century has also been growing internationally having recently agreed to acquire the San Juan Gold Mines in Peru, where it plans to increase production from the current base of 12,000 oz of gold per year.
