Actually, I'd say it was 9/11 that brought the threat of radical islam to the forefront, and I am not one of those who believes that the Bush administration was responsible for that.

Also, after the Cole bombing, the Clinton administration developed a comprehensive plan for dealing with radical islam, Al Qaeda, and terrorism in general and handed it to the incoming Bush administration, which did nothing about it until after 9/11. I would agree that the Bush failure to even address radical islam and terrorism (not even one meeting on the subject pre 9/11) was a big mistake.

But this still leaves us with the question of what Bush has done that was actually good.

PS: Yes, the economy is OK, but this is not necessarily due to anything the Bushies have done. Presidents actually have very little power to affect the overall economy. Meanwhile the national debt has increased to record levels. Dangerous levels, considering who owns most of that debt.
