You may hold that opinion, but I don't. You, and others, should reflect back to how the proponents of war were behaving back then. Anyone wanting to check, the names of the threads were: DON'T START THE WAR and Stop the War. Just imagine the turmoil inherent in those debates! My criteria then for banning was rudeness at the point of initiation, not at the point of response.
Now, whether I was justified in banning you is neither here nor there--I don't recall the specific reason. I only recall the criteria I used for banning.
Anyway, somehow you got there. And, unfortunately, you became an unwitting victim when I stopped playing god, a victim on two fronts:
a) I took a substantial amount of time off from posting; and,
b) although I tried, SI didn't clear your name from the "remove from banlist" function. According to them, it was 'cause you were posting under the common name of "bill." Somehow the SI system couldn't remove you. I had to appeal tdirectly to the SI administrators get you (the only one on the banlist, while I was away from posting)--removed. 'Twasn't my fault, as I just didn't have the power in my 'delete from ban' button.
