vanna did playboy>? May, 1987 issue. She didn't pose for Playboy. They were pics she did for a freelance photographer just before she got the Wheel of Fortune gig. She initially agreed to pose for the cover of the issue featuring her earlier photos, but changed her mind on the advice of her agent because she was releasing her first book and the agent didn't want her "wholesome" reputation tarnished by a voluntary Playboy cover. I believe it became the biggest selling issue up to that time.
