Zebra here. Good time to pull this thread out of mothballs.
Any updated ideas of recession plays? (I'm worried about the way things look, but on the other hand, does this country ever have recessions anymore? Been a long, long time since we had a sustained one)

Looking at Copart(CPRT), a dominant auto salvage-related company.
They might actually do a little better in a recession. I guess that might be true of other auto replacement part companies.

Generic drug companies may do better in recession. Same with other generic companies(I recall Cott and Perrigo did pretty well back in '90).

Other than that, I can't come up with much.
