The Australian Operation of Hanson PLC, the International Heavy Building Materials Producer, Has Implemented eFLOW to Automate Its Front-End Data Capture

(TIS), (NasdaqSC:TISA - News), a leading innovator of data capture solutions, announced today that Hanson Construction Materials Pty Ltd (Hanson) has successfully implemented TIS' eFLOW Unified Content Platform for two of its key high volume business functions. CSC Australia Pty Limited (CSC) was the Systems Integrator for this project.

TIS provides automated data capture solutions that improve enterprise business processes by integrating data from multiple sources and of different types, such as invoices, freight and shipping bills, purchase orders, and others. TIS solutions seamlessly deliver the extracted data to enterprise applications such as document and content management, ERP, or CRM.
Being one of the world's leading heavy building materials companies, Hanson utilizes TIS' eFLOW solution as a core technology platform in its Australian operation to capture and process large volumes of vendor invoices and handwritten information on its outgoing dispatch dockets. The eFLOW solution has been configured to handle both paper-based and electronic invoices received via email.
Hanson operates in North America, the UK, Australia, Asia Pacific and Continental Europe and employs 27,400 people in 14 countries. For its Australian operation, the company desired a complete input management solution capable of capturing and automatically processing invoices as well as structured forms, such as online and offline dockets. All the information extracted from the invoices, including line items, is seamlessly delivered into SAP R/3 systems and IXOS' workflow.
