We'll see. The Japanese real estate bubble was a whole lot
worse than ours. Sure, there were some tough times during the
90-s, but nothing like the Great depression stuff. They sat,
smoked, smiled, and ate some sashimi and sushi -g-

The energy crisis is far more serious, it will take time to
do research and to resolve it. I think in late 21 century
folks will drive electric cars powered by superconducting
batteries, and get electric energy from hot
fusion. Fusion research was pretty close to producing energy,
but it was shut down in the late 90-s. Oil prices were low.
