Wow. Yes, this is a good argument FOR trying to anticipate events - in selected cases, and with careful money management. I'd say, a bounce here could be shortable.

edit - I noticed years ago how patterns tend to come in "waves" - like, for example, all of a sudden charts may become full of triangles. ED-like formations have not been rare lately.
