I believe that my party will rise to this historical occasion. Guess we'll know soon enough.
Yes, we'll know soon enough, like tomorrow night, (Tuesday night) whether a Democrat will fill the remaining term of Duke Cunningham, or a Republican (there 18 candidates on the ballot, and any voter can vote for any of them, 14 are Republicans). The Republicans have been fighting among themselves. My phone has not stopped ringing since as a registered elephant, those Republican candidates want my vote. Little that they know, I am one of the many Republicans who are fed up with this crazy administration/neocons.
Watch for the news tomorrow night. The Democrats have Francine Busby , just remember her name. If she gets 50+% of the votes, she is in. She is a light weight but the Republican National Organization has been hammering at her as if she is Hillary.
If Francine does not get 50+%, the there will be a runoff on June 6 between her and the Republican who gets the most votes.
If Francine is in tomorrow, then, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. |
