Turkey won't let the Kurds have an independent nation. And what's bogging India and Pakistan is the Kashmire. I think Shites would be happy to have their own nation to the south, as opposed to continued death and destruction all throughout.

So long as the revenue from Iraq's current oil potential can be shared and access to the Gulf and riverways are adequately handled, I think my plan could work. Another benefit is the US could improve its relations with Iran by working with them in helping to build the new Shite nation.
