Who knows, had Gore gotten to assume the presidency he'd won, we might not have seen 9/11 happen.

Bush's threat to boycott the Worldwide Conference Against Racism certainly drew the ire of the Arab world. Anyone think OBL took note?

Bush also, early on, cozied up to Ariel Sharon who assumed office shortly after Bush. While the Israeli tanks were rolling in Bush was calling Sharon a "man of peace." Anyone think OBL took note?

But most noteworthy is the fact the Bush Administration ordered an intelligence stand-down as Enron was negotiating with the Taliban to build a pipeline to connect its failing energy plant in India. At the time, Enron was about to embark on a path toward bankruptcy, even though its executive leadership held a seat at Cheney's secretive energy meetings early on in the Bush Administration. The Pipeline negotiations collapsed in August '01. Think OBL took note?

It's my firm personal belief that had Gore been sworn in as America's 43rd president--as he should have been!--America would not have seen 9/11.
