Hello Gary,

I set GET's Gann box using the USER ENTERED menu selection - that way you don't have to do all the shrinking and you can place the box on the chart exactly where you want it. I use the pivot points for anchor spots for the box and also choose wave 2 as the anchor when possible. VVUS hasn't had any wave 2's for quite some time that are useful (the most recent is too recent) so I used the May 13 pivot point. I build boxes using Gann numbers for the time parameters such as 45 days, 90, 180, and 360. Then I set the price parameter - also gann numbers - 450, 900, 1800, 3600 etc. I use TC2000 data where 1price unit is equal to 1cent. so 450 units is 4.50. in the case of VVUS I used a box which is 180 days by 3600 price units (36.00) This gives a Gann box with the ratio of 20. As you can see if you use combinations of the time to price values I gave, you will always come up with an acceptable ratio. You can set boxes using the different numbers and overlay them - the gann lines will always overlay properly. One last thing Freddie Alpers showed me was the addition of lines from the top left and lower left corners to the 3/4 points along the box edges - you will find some interesting action when price approaches these lines. Mid August to the end of August as well as the beginning of September to the middle of September are examples of this. Let me know what you think.

Peter
