Now to bore you ... Here is a photo of the mountain I climbed last Thursday:
www5.worldisround.com

I didn't take this photo - just found it on the net. We climbed in the snow, but it was little higher on the mountain.

The photo shows the east ridge of San Ysidro Mountain in Borrego Springs. The apparent high point on the photo is at about 5150' (the climb starts at an elevation of about 750').

Looking at the photo, we climbed from the lower right to the top of the apparent peak (in center) and then out the ridge on the left of the photo to the peak - about 3 1/2 miles to the west - the peak is at 6147'.

The high ridge was a pain: slippery, lots of brush and a difficult route. We exited to the south (a simple five mile descent). A great day!!
