What I said about the 60's and 70's has lots of truth in it. In the late 80's I helped shut down several industrial facilities. On many occasions there were unexpected unknown chemicals, or highly toxic chemicals, that needed disposal. It was quite an involved expensive procedure that also took time. I remember on several occasions older colleagues would say "Look 20 or even 10 yrs ago, we would just pour that stuff in the river if we needed to get rid of it, why go to all the bother?"

What should I have done? Taken a page out from one of Ayn Rand's books?? I could easily come up with a nice quote as I flushed all that inconvenience easily out of the way.

As is the issues of the environment. The environment need looking after. It needs maintenance and management, otherwise our booming human population runs into mega problems.

That is where we are today.
