That's a great analysis but, in reality, it comes down to this:

Great jobs with a stronger entity.

You can say all you want but management of American corporations will go for a takeover that gives them better job security and let them take advantage of "change of control" clauses in their current packages.

That's why we are seeing stories in the main stream financial press. First come the rumors and then the reality.
