Oracle to buy Portal Software for $4.90 a share or $220M - By Thomas Middleton NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - Oracle Corp. said Wednesday it agreed to acquire Portal Software Inc. for $4.90 a share, or $220 million total. Portal, of Cupertino, Calif., is a provider of billing and revenue management technology for the telecommunications and media markets.
