Good evening, Keith.....my, my....we can't keep doubling everything up like this, we'll crash SI.... just a few points then....
"No club needed, thanks, just stating an opinion"
Uh....Keith, that "join the club" thing, that's called a figure of speech, ask your English teacher what that means, it's like a metaphor, only different.
"...it appears that only you and I seem to care what my opinion is right this second. Being a betting man, I would say shortly that you will quickly be off that list."
Very, very perceptive of you, Keith. Sorry for underestimating you until this.
"Since you have Bre-Sea paper I suspect that you will not be joining me in the compleat twit camp. However I will save you a spot on the floor to sit on beside the chairs, as judging by your black-and-white vision you may just get pushed into the group and forced to take dual citizenship."
Thanks anyway, Keith, but I like it fine up here on my horse, the view is better and I can shoot or ride down vermin on the slightest whim.
Oh, and "vision"....ask your teacher about the difference about vision and focus. Then study war a little, I recommend Klausewitz, Shirer, Tuchman, there is much written on war. Research this question; "Did Churchill defeat Hitler by ruminating on his redeeming social qualities and improvement of the train schedules?". Correlate with the definition of "focus".
You may notice that the more useful volumes on war are written after the war is won, that is the time for the cerebral masturbation with the nuances of the grey areas. You may notice as well that history is written by the victors.
"Hence, my pissing on duP as you put it. The guy backed himself into a cage and locked it when he came on the thread again with the announcement that he was a paid investigator. I did not feel at the time that this was correct, so I reached in through his self created bars and unlocked the cage from the inside, and opened it up. My suspicions of his nature were there, but I wanted to give him another chance. I asked a simple question to answer as his exchange for freedom. He chose to not communicate although he has information as he later so pointedly dramatized. Best to keep information festering in a backroom somewhere?"
Mmmmmm.....a few questions if you don't mind, Keith;
1. You are the Keeper of the keys? 2. You are the Judge, too? 3. You are the Crown prosecutor as well? 4. You have never heard of the practice of keeping powder dry? 5. Do you often have these snit fits, pouting when you don't control the situation and its timing?
"Not a shareholder, though I almost bought in thinking that the Freeport thing had to be a major shakeout. But my lack of clarity on the matter, I realized I needed to sit it out."
Uh-huh, uh-huh....good thinking, Keith. Pity about the "lack of clarity" returning.
" I chose to see his motives as they are instead of how I think any good 'watchdog' should be. I just cannot see him as some impartial watchdog looking out for the best interests of 'all' investors anymore."
Key phrase, Keith; "I chose". But then you go on to an interesting piece of information that is news to me. Perhaps you could post the location of the URL or printed text in which Adrian relinquished his humanity and his right to hold forth on any subject whatever in any manner he sees fit. Or was this concept perhaps internal, within your own mind? If so, no need to take up the bandwidth.
" Thanks, but I choose to not support a loose cannon..."
Pretty good shot for a loose cannon, eh? C'mon, Keith, give credit where credit's due.
"why not just support the BCSC..."
Hee hee hee.....Joke, right? Good one, Keith. ;-)
"I see the error of my ways"
May you truly make that so, Keith. ... Good luck to you .....marcos
