I spend a lot of time in China -- I know that the air is toxic. I know that the air in the US is not anywhere near as toxic. But I also know that the US leads the world by far as the sourcepoint of greenhouse gasses -- and that will undo the whole ecoshpere. Get a grip on reality, China is the dirtiest place on earth. But the USA does more to destroy the environment than any other country on earth. China is struggling to come to grips with its disaster. In contrast, the US smugly sits on its hands and does the very least possible to even admit its horrendous consumption of energy and production of greenhouse gasses. You can sit on Portland and be holier than thou only so long as you ignore the fact that 'you' do more each day to destroy the envirnoment than the citizens of any other country on this planet.
