Isn't it sad when the conservatives on this thread now turn to helping pick the Democratic candidates in '08? With Saddam's past associatioin with Rummy (weapons deals and hearty handshakes), I think he probably is a Republican. On a different subject, I am still trying to understand Mr. Bush's latest explanation for getting "the Truth" out through selective declassification of certain info through a "former hill staffer" to the lovely Judith Miller. Since the State Departmetn had already moved well away from this particular piece of "truth", I am still wondering why the President didn't declassify the whole NIE? Did he ever explain this? I got to keep up. The story changes all the time.
