Something I remember from the seminar that I thought was interesting. Border Manager will handle 4000 hits per second. The closest competition, including Microsoft, can handle about 550.

I've been playing over on the Microsoft thread now that I have a short position on MSFT. Maybe I'm loosing it, long with 10K shares of NOVL and options to short 500 MSFT. I've been behaving myself over there so I'm not getting in as much trouble as vinod. I haven't told anyone what my target price for March is or I'd probably be getting a hard time also.

Interesting contrast though. Microsoft insiders have either sold or filed to sell over $2 billion worth of stock in the last month or so. The Microsoft CFO has told everyone that the stock price is too high. They've told everyone that earnings growth will slow way down. The company made a statement to the effect that they will buy back stock when it gets cheep enough. Barrons cover story goes into huge detail on all the reasons not to invest in MSFT at current levels, including no new major products expected for 12-18 months......and nobody thinks anything is wrong.

On the other hand Novell insiders sell enough stock to buy a six pack. The company states that they expect earnings to grow. They are releasing new products like clock work......and everyone can hardly wait to get out.
