My son does try to instill some of those necessary things in them, but I can see he tries to protect them too much, from nasty things like washing out their own dishes, not complaining every single minute about whatever is for a meal, changing their own bed, doing an occasional load of laundry, etc.

I mean really, how tough is it to do laundry today? Makes me sound old when I think of having the old wringer washing machine, wringing the clothes out into a rinse water, then wringing them again the 2nd time in a new tub of rinse water....then wringing them into a laundry basket and THEN hanging them all outside on a clothesline...with real clothespins...THEN bringing them in, before it rained, and folding them up, or sprinkling them, rolling them up, and leaving them for a few hours, so they would be ready to iron...or mangle.

LOLOL....Come to think of it, I've never even mentioned all of that to any of my own kids growing up, no wonder they take it for granted..... Will have to remedy that!!!
